The Friday practice was the first time I have ever raced at the Croft Circuit. In the first session I was running well, racing closely with Matt and learning the circuit until I crashed accelerating out of the corner too early especially with the damp conditions. The second session was dry which enabled me to bring my lap times down a few seconds, but as the day progressed and started raining, I unfortunately binned it again which lead to a busy night fixing my fairing.
Both Saturday and Sunday’s race went well in the Mini Thunderbike Championship. I completed practice and all racing without any more incidents and although there was a full grid I ended up battling closely with my brother but managed to gain the advantage with a joint 5th overall on Saturday and 6th overall on Sunday. Although the weekend had got off to a poor start I improved my time all weekend and enjoyed learning a new circuit.
