Press Coverage We Receive

We aim to promote ourselves as being one of the most professional teams in the paddock and pride ourselves in taking every opportunity to keep our bikes, leathers and vehicle as clean and presentable as possible. In return for any support received we make every effort to appropriately promote our sponsors wherever possible, together with networking yourselves with other sponsors if appropriate.

Our aim is to gain as much coverage as possible and the boys have appeared in a number of local, national and biking newspapers, magazines such as Bike Sport where our photographs were used to promote the Autosport show in 2002 and Performance Bike. Our photographs have been used for high profile advertising by companies such as Putoline, BMF and Activ8. Putoline have used our photographs in their own adverts which appeared in Motorcycle Trader together with every brochure published during 2004 for each round of the British Superbike. Putoline also used our photographs on posters which were handed out at the Bike and Scooter Show in November of 2003. Kurt and Matthew had great fun signing their autographs on these posters as they are becoming well known building a fan base. We continue with a great deal of up to date press and have recently appeared in magazines such as TAG.  Kurt’s photograph has recently been used on the EDZ brochure.

During 2006 the boys were used as a case studies for the promotion of safe riding which went out in a number of magazines and national newspapers. This also lead to the boys appearing on many news programmes such as BBC Midlands Today, Newsround and National News programmes across the country promoting riding safely.  Kurt and Matthew were also interviewed for different radio stations.  In August 2006 Kurt and Matthew were asked by the ACU to attend a meeting at Santa Pod whereby they were asked to complete demonstration rides in front of a large audience of Councillors, Police and officials followed by a question time whereby they stood and answered questions from the visitors. Details of this event were shown on the ACU website and photographs of Kurt and Matthew were used. Their photographs were also used on printed brochures and detailed in a number of national newspapers and magazines.

The boys have appeared on television a number of times on both Central News and Midlands today both for their own recognition together with meeting Eddie Jordan whilst they were promoting the Autosport Show. They have also appeared in programmes such as Born to Ride, Scratchin 1 and were the main feature of a half hour episode for Scratchin 2. All of the Men and Motors programmes are still being shown on a regular basis as repeats and we still get people coming to us to say “I saw you on the television last night”!

Filming an interview for Scratchin 2

After Scratchin 2 had been aired a couple of times on sky Men and Motors we attended a few bike shows as we do towards the end of each year to keep our profile and a couple of big bike meetings. The response we experienced was phenomenal. The boys were swamped by fans wanting their photographs and autographs which amazed us as to the amount of people who felt they knew Kurt and Matthew. Even now, a few years on, there are many people who are interested in how our team is progressing and want to know what they are doing now. Many people take the opportunity to meet them at the end of season shows to get to speak with them.

Whilst we attend a number of events we are also gaining a large gallery of photographs which we add in our regular reports and sent out to all of our sponsors who support us, such as the one where we took the chance of a photo opportunity at Mallory Park in front of Michael Rutter on the grid of the British Superbike round. This was a great experience and Michael later signed our photograph when we met him at Donnington Park later that year.

We have even rode in front of 15,000 people at Fowlers open day in Bristol and have on several occasions attended at Brands Hatch whereby the boys rode around the mini moto circuit doing demonstrations. They have now learned how to do donuts and burnouts which they think is fantastic, providing they have not just had new tyres on the bikes.

We continue to get as much press coverage as possible for our sponsors and were recently surprised as to the quantity of hits we gain on our website which hopefully in turn many visitors will also visit with our sponsors, without whom would make our racing career impossible.
